Fiverr Fiverr Fiverr!!!
It’s widely said that nothing comes on a silver plate. One is obliged to work hard, persist in his efforts and do all that is possible to overcome challenges likely to prevent you from your desired goals. In any kind of success, you are working, yet there always seems to be something pulling you behind from attaining your set objectives. It can sometimes become so much, that to a certain extent you will feel like giving up and letting everything go. Only God is 100% perfect, anything else will always have inconsistencies and problems. We all have to work to overcome them.
And Fiverr is not an exception, so you are also likely to encounter certain hardships and challenges that you will have to overcome on this site too. There was a time when my experience with Fiverr was almost getting ruined to an extent that I was almost giving up everything as I felt that I was going through more hardships than benefits. Instead of quitting I contemplated on the whole issue to find out what my problem was and how possible it was to settle down everything – streamline the work I did. I did exactly that, and within a few weeks time, I was back on track enjoying the Fiverr experience.
This may also happen to you to an extent that you are going to feel like abandoning everything. So you need to watch on this hardships that are likely to hinder your progress then handle them accordingly. While there are those who are growing to despise Fiverr, there is growing buzz among our community and the Fiverr Forums that are showing how much can be made on Fiverr, and how easy it has been! With many of the testimonials coming forward we are seeing the normal hardships of doing business online & via Fiverr, but also the success to be had with it too.

One major challenge that will make you very discouraged, is if at any time a bad review is left on your profile. These buyers can be idiots that don’t come back to you with the problem (even after you messaged them to do JUST THAT), and they demand the world from you. It feels so bad doing something to your best, and then all of a sudden a person can say anything they want about it and immediately post a negative review that will definitely chase away potential clients from your profile. I’ve had this happen 100+ times in all the gigs I’ve delivered. They are either A) Trolls B) Assholes C) People Never Pleased or D) You Suck at Your Job. Most often, if you give it your best, and still cannot make them happy – I give them a full refund. This is even more dangerous if you are starting up on Fiverr because it kills your motivation to go on. Never getting paid for work you did, is just about the worst feeling in the world you can have in your work (next to being a literal slave).
You shouldn’t let this draw you back, as you can deal with it and it’s guaranteed you will be back on the right track so long as you don’t get negative reviews. If at all you are going to respond, do this in a positive and friendly approach. If you even feel slightly pushy or “snarky” – the buyer will leave negative feedback and force you to eat their money (even when you try to refund it) with their bad review stuck on your profile.
Again, if you have bad problems, or someone just isn’t happy – I don’t even question it anymore, I refund it all. I make so many sales, the gigs really don’t matter anymore – it’s just a numbers and time game. You can then opt to remove the bad reviews using the refund policy by offering to return funds to the customer. Do this and put the message (…..) so that they don’t see anything but the refund. Most people won’t deny it then, the only time I’ve had people deny getting money – is when they see I gave them a message with the refund. The message was even nice and almost begging that they accept the refund, but being the pricks they are – they deny it and force you to keep the $4 + the bad review. Worst case scenario, you can also contact Fiverr support for more help if the buyer is really getting mean.
It’s a predictable business, you are also likely to find hard customers on Fiverr who may end up killing your morale to go on. Ignore them, and move on. You’re going to forget these people ever existed. It’s a major problem for beginners, as you may find a client who gives orders without all the information you need so they will be requiring you to do more than what you are offering. This is because they know that Level 0 and Level 1 sellers are looking to do anything to get a positive review. This becomes embarrassing, if let’s say you have already completed your order, then your client wants you to do something more or else they’ll post a negative review. You can however overcome this by taking early precautions to prevent anything like this from happening. This will involve setting up the terms and conditions of your service that your clients will have to adhere to as you are working for them. Simply bolding the term for a gig about fixing WordPress errors, like: (1) Gig for (1) Fix ONLY
Another hardship but this is mainly for beginners is lack of experience as well as failing to find customers hitting at your profile to get work done. If you are new you face active competition from the experienced sellers as you don’t have any feedback on your profile while they have. You can deal with this by participating more on Fiverr forums, hard work and specializing on those areas you can do best. One more drawback is getting overloaded with tasks beyond your convenience. This shows that your services are in high demand so you can choose to increase the level of prices or outsource the services. If you can deal with all this challenges appropriately, then you can be very sure you are going to succeed on Fiverr.
